Skepticism, Postmodernism, and Knowing Christianity is True In this week’s lesson we considered challenges to the possibility of knowing, and then went on to examine how we know Christianity is true. What is skepticism? How can we answer the skeptic? What is postmodernism? What does postmodernism believe concerning the idea of knowledge? What are the inherent problems with postmodernism? How is postmodernism self-refuting? For the non-Christian seeking to know if Christianity is true, what constitutes the evidence base to which he or she has access? How does the Christian’s evidence base differ from that of the non-Christian? What role does the Holy Spirit play in justifying the Christian’s claim of knowledge? What is the difference between the testimony of the Spirit and our emotions or experiences? (60 min)
